Free Meals for ALL Students through October 20th
All students in Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) will be provided free meals through October 20th. Whether your child goes to school with a packed lunch or purchases their meal at school, all meals — breakfast and lunch — will be free.
In the wake of Hurricane Irma, HCPS and the United States of Department of Agriculture (USDA) want to help our students and families by providing free meals to all students through the USDA's National School Lunch Program. No payments will be collected for any complete meals provided by the Student Nutrition Services department.
Students simply need to select items that meet the USDA's requirements for a full, nutritious meal and then enter their student number at the register. No money will be deducted for complete lunch meals. Student Nutrition Services staff can help students with this process, but it's helpful for students to memorize their student number to speed up checkout.
Our nutritional, high-quality meals will be slightly modified and food choices may be limited due to shortages of certain food products throughout Florida.
Families who pay into the MyPayments Plus! Cafeteria app will have their money held in the account. No money will be withdrawn from the account from now through October 20th to pay for complete lunch meals. Only complete lunch meals are free; À la carte items will still be available for purchase but are not included in this temporary free full meal offer.View Full Album
