Ray Bonti to serve as Hillsborough Association of School Administrators (HASA) Executive Director
Tampa, FL – (July 12, 2017) - The Hillsborough Association of School Administrators is pleased to announce Ray Bonti as Executive Director, effective immediately. Under the direction and guidance of the HASA Executive Board, Mr. Bonti will be responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, motivating, directing, and management of an advocacy group committed to serving administrators in Hillsborough County Public Schools.
Mr. Bonti brings nearly three decades of school leadership experience to HASA, having previously served as Pasco County Schools Operations and Support Services Assistant Superintendent overseeing the operation of several key departments with an annual budget of over half a billion dollars.
Mr. Bonti has also worked as a principal of a Title One middle school, an International Baccalaureate high school and opened a new high school in Pasco County. Locally, Mr. Bonti has been recognized by Pasco County Sheriff's Department as Principal of the Year, served as a board member to Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce, worked with USF's College of Education, served as a member of Leadership Pasco and was President of Pasco County Association of School Administrators (PCASA).
During his successful tenure in public education, Mr. Bonti collaborated with local and state legislators and relied on these professional relationships to advocate for key stakeholders.
