Tampa, Fla. -  (June 5, 2017) – Hillsborough County Public Schools, in partnership with the Back to School Coalition of Hillsborough County and Project LINK are hosting several free Back 2 School Health Fairs for students and families.

The purpose of the Back 2 School Health Fair is to initiate school readiness, parental involvement, and community interaction, targeting economically challenged families who reside in Hillsborough County and have children that attend Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Free physicals will be available for children in kindergarten through grade 12. Free immunizations will also be available however, immunization records are required at the fair. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children at all times. Sports, Head Start, and Child Care physicals will NOT be available during the fairs.

School Board Member Susan Valdes is proudly hosting the Back to School Fair at Leto High School on August 5. Ms. Valdes has helped to organize a health fair in the Town and Country area for twelve years. “I have heard the needs of the community and am honored to be able to organize this initiative which provides basic health care and assistance to families as they prepare their children for the school year,” said Valdes.
