Meet Denise Savino

Currently Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Riverview High School, Ms. Savino has been appointed as the Principal of Lennard High School. She looks forward to preparing students for life by ensuring equity in all classrooms, allowing students to learn the skills they need to be successful. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Ms. Savino shared that she would love to travel to Italy because that is where her ancestors were born and raised. Sounds like a great future vacation. Congratulations Ms. Savino!

Meet Stacy Arena

Currently Assistant Principal at Martinez Middle School, Ms. Arena has been appointed as the Principal of Davidsen Middle School. Ms. Arena looks forward to continuing to raise the instructional practices and rigor to prepare students for life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and watching all sports - she loves the Lightning, Gator Football, and the Rays! We can't forget about her furry family members, her two cats named Oliver and Finn. Congratulations Ms. Arena!

Meet Pablo Gallego Alvarez

Currently Assistant Principal at Pierce Middle School, Mr. Gallego Alvarez has been appointed as the Principal of Pierce Middle School. Mr. Gallego Alvarez looks forward to serving students and community with respect, responsibility and pride. He enjoys spending time and cooking for his family and friends. His proudest moment is the birth of his children. He is a very proud parent! Congratulations Mr. Gallego Alvarez!

Meet Patti Simmons

Currently Supervisor, Office of Strategy Management, Ms. Simmons has been appointed as the Manager, FTE Compliance and Unit Analysis. Ms. Simmons looks forward to preparing students for life by making sure that appropriate supports are allocated to schools to support student success. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out at the baseball field with her son or at the stables with her daughter! When asked who her hero is, she responded, "My husband...who has taught me to be humble, help others, and enjoy the ride!" That's great advice. Congratulations Ms. Simmons!

Meet Mary Thomas Mathis

Currently Assistant Principal at Marshall Middle School, Ms. Mathis has been appointed as the Supervisor of Outreach and School Improvement. Ms. Mathis looks forward to preparing students for life by continuing to create partnerships with community organizations and schools. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. Her proudest moment was serving as the Mayor of the City of Plant City. Congratulations Ms. Mathis!
