A Message from Superintendent Jeff Eakins Regarding the Survey on Exceptional Student Education
In planning to reach our district goal of 90% graduation rate by 2020, I am always evaluating our strengths and areas of need and I especially value the input of parents. That is why I am encouraging parents to complete this year’s Florida Department of Education's ESE Survey by 5/31/2017. Your input is important to create a culture and climate where all students succeed. The survey is confidential and will provide us with district specific and school specific feedback. The information collected will let us know what we are doing right, and where we need to improve.
In response to previous ESE surveys, we have increased parent training opportunities and parent information nights where families of students with disabilities receive information about district and community resources. Additionally, Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Parent Services also started offering evening parent information sessions and trainings throughout the county.
The survey can be completed online at www.esesurvey.com. If you prefer a paper survey, please contact your child's ESE case manager or Debbie Valdes, FDLRS Parent Services Program Manager, at 813-837-7733, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for taking this opportunity to make your voice heard as we seek to improve our efforts to prepare students for life!
