2017-18 Classroom Addition Requirements for Design and Construction Management Services

The SCHOOL BOARD OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Florida, announces that design and construction management services will be required for the following projects:

The project scope at Sickles High includes the addition of classroom space for 200-300 students, modifications to existing parking areas, associated storm water improvements and repairs to existing stairs and handrails throughout the school. At Robinson High, the scope includes the addition of classroom space for 200 students, modifications to and construction of student parking areas and the associated storm water improvements.

Any applicants interested in providing the required services shall make application by submission of the materials prescribed in the Project Information Packet. The Board shall select a separate design professional and construction manager for each project. However, separate submissions of qualification information for each project are not required; a single submission covering all projects is requested. If an applicant is only interested in one project, they should so state and indicate their preference.

The Project Information Packet, additional project information, and the weights associated with each qualification and evaluation criteria can be obtained by contacting the District’s Operations Division at (813) 272-4112 or via the internet through either the District’s Vendor Bid system.

Following an evaluation of the submitted qualifications, the committee will conduct in-person interviews with the higher scoring firms, per the information guidelines provided in the Project Information packet.

All materials must be submitted to the Hillsborough County School Operations Division, 2nd Floor, Velasco Center, 1202 E. Palm Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605 by 11:00 AM on March 2, 2017.

Interested parties are strongly discouraged from contacting the schools where projects are located. Any questions or clarifications will be addressed at the Q & A session on February 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Velasco Center, Room 160.
