Gibsonton Elementary School students planted a variety of trees and bushes around the campus in honor of Earth Day.
Van Buren Teens for Tampa Bay
Van Buren Middle School students work with staff from Lowry Park Zoo and Community Stepping Stones to gain and share important information about the impact of plastics on aquatic ecosystems.
Ippolito Butterflies
The sharp eyes of some Ippolito Otters spotted the Gulf Fritillary butterfly, the newest member of the school's butterfly family, hanging upside down right next to its chrysalis.
Reddick Migrant Festival
Families attended the Spring Migrant Festival held at Reddick Elementary School.

Acting Supt. Eakins and Board Members address state math EOC exams

On May 18, the Florida Department of Education announced the state will not require that math End of Course exams (Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry) will count for 30% of a student’s grades. HCPS has coordinated a strategy to provide options for students to ensure they are not harmed by this decision.
